Commissions Specialist

Based out of Boulder, CO, USA •Full-Time

Green Spoon is looking for a Commissions Specialist to help us secure accurate sales and commissions information from our clients.  This person will work with our Controller to maintain the billing system and with our contracts team to account for specifics by contract.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to collect sales information from our clients and our internal resources consistently in order for us to accurately invoice and collect.  This person will be actively communicating with our clients, as well as internally, in order to efficiently and sensitively secure sales information and account for the variety of contracts we have with our clients.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing account reconciliations.

  • Maintaining accounts receivable files and records.

  •  Producing monthly AR reports.

  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries.

  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis.

  • Will work with clients on monthly sales reporting, utilizing databases as well as information provided by clients.

  • Will work with and provide Controller figures for monthly billing on a timely basis.

  • Communicate with all clients consistently to secure accurate sales information.

  • Will work with and provide management monthly summaries of client reporting.

  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned by management.

MUST HAVE:

  • Experience with updating processes

  • Experience with working with a large amount of data

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment

  • The person who is the right fit for this position will need to have the ability to work autonomously, works fast, efficiently and accurately and have the ability to take on a new role and own it.

Job Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • An ability to prioritize and manage expectations.

  • Strong organizational skills & a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • An ability to work independently.

  • The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within the company.

  • A mathematical background.

  • Prior experience utilizing UNFI Broker reporting and KeHe Connect highly preferred. 

  • Knowledge of PO and deduction process preferred. 

  • Knowledge of the natural food industry is a plus.

  • 2+ years experience in accounts receivable or collections

  • Bachelors degree in one of the following areas in preferred: 

    • Finance or Economics

    • Business Studies or Administration

    • Mathematics

    • Accounting

Chief Financial Officer

Overview of Position:

The Chief financial officer (CFO) will be responsible for the entire finance and accounting function of the business. They are to work closely with our CEO and COO. It will be the responsibility of the CFO to manage the finance, accounting functions and resources of the company while providing leadership for the continuous evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage the finance, accounting functions, resources and financial assets of the company

Create, implement, administer, and evaluate all financial programs, procedures and supporting information systems of the company

Provide leadership for the continuous evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial objectives

Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts

Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive job cost system.

Coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial information systems of a company

Ensure compliance with local, state and federal financial reporting requirements

Serve as the primary interface with lenders and CPA firms

Partner with senior management in the development and execution of strategic business and operational plans

Manage accounting and finance team

Point person for all tax activities

Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities strategically.

 

Qualifications

Strong finance-based analytical skills

5 - 10 years’ of finance experience

Experience in CPG / Natural Foods preferred

CPA or MBA preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent our brands in stores with merchandising: Improving the product mix, improving shelf placement, building displays, restocking inventory.

• Introduce new products from our brands to grocery retailers throughout the territory.

• Develop positive and trusting relationships with all principal clients.

• Be proactive in supporting retailers, distributors and principals with resets, store openings & trade shows.

• Audit stores to maintain a record of new and existing placement.
